The East Haddam Professional Firefighters are proud to congratulate Probationary Firefighter Andrew Badamo on the completion of his probationary period as the newest member of the East Haddam Fire Department Career Staff!

FF/EMT Badamo comes to us with experience from the Durham Volunteer Fire Department starting in 2010, as well as the Wallingford Fire Department Transport Division where he has dedicated four years of service to the Town of Wallingford and its residents. Having started on January 31st, 2024, FF Badamo has been busy over the last few months learning about the East Haddam community and becoming oriented to our Standard Operating Procedures, Day-to-Day Operations, and the familiarization of the 56.6 square miles we serve.

Today, Senior Firefighter Liam Duncan worked his last shift before he begins his career with the New London Fire Department.
Liam was an instrumental part of the department and we will miss him greatly. Cheers to you brother and best of luck!

The East Haddam career staff spent this morning training one of our new firefighters on Ladder 1-15. Proper vehicle positioning and ladder placement is key in an emergency.

The East Haddam Professional Firefighters responded to three calls for service yesterday. Two medical emergencies and an electrical wire fire. This photo was taken in the area of 126 East Haddam Colchester Tpke. A primary wire had rubbed through and caught the sheathing on fire. Eversource was notified and responded.
