Late this evening your Moody VFD was dispatched to the area of Wi******er and Tower Dr to assist Bruceville-Eddy Vol. Fire & Rescue with a grass fire. The fire is out at this time and units have cleared the scene. Thank you to Moody PD, McLennan County Sheriff’s Office, and AMR Waco for your assistance.

Early this morning your Moody VFD responded to Bruceville-Eddy to assist Bruceville-Eddy Vol. Fire & Rescue with a large grassfire. On scene as well were Lorena Fire Department and Moody PD. The fire is contained at this time and units have cleared.

As a reminder: McLennan County is still currently under a burn ban, it is very hot and dry, and the risk of fire is high. Stay safe, vigilant and remember to stay hydrated!

Hello Moody; this is a PSA from McLennan County;

Per the Commissioners Court, a Burn Ban is in effect for McLennan County - effective immediately (8/4/26), until further notice. A copy of the resolution will be sent to all department chiefs by EOD, and it will be posted on social media upon receipt.

This afternoon your Moody VFD responded to FM 107 and Dove Rd for reports of a head on motor vehicle collision. On units arrival, personnel found multiple injuries. 3 patients were transported to the hospital by ambulance, 1 patient was transported by life flight. Thank you to Bruceville-Eddy Vol. Fire MCSO, Moody PD, TxDPS, Bruceville-Eddy PD, AMR Temple EMS AMR Waco, PHI Air Medical Temple Coryell Health EMS and all citizens that stopped to help. We are very grateful for your assistance. All units have cleared at this time.

Just a PSA for everyone as the rain comes through this week;

FLOOD WATCH - The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for McLennan County - in effect through tomorrow evening.

Rain is moving in, and we would like to remind the public that low-lying areas may experience flooding. Staying off the roads is always best during a storm.
