If interested in volunteering your talents or time please call or attend our monthly meeting held on 2nd Tuesday of the month or the 3rd Saturday morning of the month. Monthly meetings are held at Station #1 every second Tuesday of the month at 7 PM. If you are interested in volunteering with our department or have any special skills that we may use contact Gary Erlandson Assistant Chief 918-772-7800.

Tonight we had a great honor of recognizing our Fire Chief, Larry Watts, who has served the Lowrey Fire Dept. and the Lowrey / Moody community as well as the Cherokee County Fire Chiefs for the last four decades. Thank you, chief Watts for devotion and dedication to your fellow neighbors.

Last Saturday Lowrey volunteer fire department was out at station one testing our engines 1,2 and 3’s fire pumps. This is an annual test on the pump and truck to assure performance on the fire ground. Several of our firefighters, tested each trucks and pumps and put the units back in service. All the pumps and trucks passed the tests.
If you ever come by the station and see us outside, you are welcome to stop by and visit.

🚨 BIG NEWS 🚨
The Lowrey Fire Department has officially placed our newest truck into service, a brand new 2025 Freightliner tanker! 💪🔥
This 2,000-gallon tanker is now assigned to Station 1, replacing a 1983 GMC tanker that has served our community for over 40 years.
This truck didn’t happen overnight; it’s been more than 3 years in the making! From applying for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG), to receiving the award, designing specs, awarding the contract, and finally getting the keys… it’s been a long but rewarding journey.
With no hydrant system in much of our district, water is EVERYTHING. That’s why we now maintain three tankers, one at each station, ready to respond when our community needs us most.
This new addition strengthens our ability to protect lives, property, and each other.
