💙 221 days. That’s how long our sweet Prince has been waiting for his forever family.
Today, Prince got to take a break from shelter life and enjoy a fun little date around town with our amazing volunteer, Sammi—and judging by the smile on his face, we’d say he had the best day ever! 🐾
A huge thank you to Sammi for showing Prince what it’s like to be loved, spoiled, and celebrated. These outings mean the world to our long-term shelter pups.
Now, here’s what Sammi had to say about her time with Prince… and we think you’ll all agree—this handsome boy absolutely stole her heart. ❤️
“Prince was the definition of a gentlemen. He hopped right in my car and was eager to go for a ride. He loved to lay his head on my shoulder , look out the window , and just chill in the backseat. At the park he saw geese and other dogs. He never offered attention to either of them. He pulled a few times but when he would it was a very small excited ‘trot’ and as soon as he felt a bit of tension he was settle back down. He was a wonderful walker.
At Petsmart and Home Depot he was very respectful and never tried to take anything off the shelves. He only did his business outside , both 1 and 2. He never once even offered to mark in the pet store.
He loved his pup cup and was very patient in the drive through.
He never made a mess in my car.
He was approached by a few people who asked to pet him and he did well. He is a little cautious at first but warms up fast.
The only thing I will say I did notice was loud noises and sudden movements did scare him. He jumps but never offered to run away , or bite because of it.”
