BOIL WATER NOTICE for customers in Summit Oaks subdivision

Water service for customers in the Summit Oaks subdivision will be temporarily unavailable during daytime hours on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 in order to make necessary repairs to two fire hydrants in the subdivision. All affected customers were notified in advance of the service interruption by phone call. It is anticipated that water service will be restored to customers in the afternoon hours on Tuesday if all goes as planned.

In conjunction with this water outage, a boil water advisory must be issued to all affected customers. Once water service has been restored, all customers in Summit Oaks subdivision will need to boil water prior to consumption until further notice.

This water advisory is being issued as a PRECAUTION and will be lifted once testing has taken place to ensure the safety of your water. It is hoped that the boil water advisory can be lifted on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, once testing shows the water is safe for consumption.

All affected customers have been contacted by phone with this information and will again be contacted by phone when the advisory has been lifted.

Thank you for your patience while this work takes place and we ensure the safety of your water.

May bills covering April usage were mailed out today. We know last month's bills didn't arrive in a timely manner and are keeping our fingers crossed this month goes better.

We too are very frustrated with USPS delivery service. The blame for this does not fall with our local postal service. The issue is with a USPS processing facility in another state. We have contacted USPS multiple times in an effort to do anything we can possibly do to improve delivery service for our bills. The only recommendation they provided was to switch the perforation on our bills from a vertical perforation to a horizontal perforation because the USPS sorting equipment does better with horizontal perforation. We made the switch to horizontal perforation in late 2025. We will continue to contact and work with USPS in an effort get timely delivery of our bills.

We are paying in excess of $10,000 annually for delivery of monthly bills. We are as frustrated, if not more frustrated, as our customers with the current delivery service we are receiving. We will continue to do everything we can to receive the service we are paying for.

That said, we do encourage customers to consider opting to receive bills by email rather than having them mailed by USPS. Customers may also sign up to have their bills automatically debited from their bank account on the 20th of each month. Both of these services are offered at no charge to customers. If you are interested in either option, please contact our office at 304-530-3048.
