📢 IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FREE & REDUCED MEAL BENEFITS

Dear Parents & Guardians,

If your student receives SNAP or Medicaid benefits, they may be eligible to receive free or reduced-price school meals through Direct Certification.

Our district receives a Direct Certification list from the State Department. This is reviewed each month. If your student is on this list, you will receive a letter from the Child Nutrition Director notifying you that your student has been approved for meal benefits.

If you have NOT received an approval letter from the Child Nutrition Director, please do not assume that your student is approved. You may need to complete a Free & Reduced Meal Application to ensure your student’s eligibility is established.

If your household experiences income loss or a change in household income, you may fill out an application at any time during the school year.

⏰ IMPORTANT DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 25, 2026

Pay status rolls over for 30 school days in the new school year.

Families who have not received an approval notification and believe their student may qualify are encouraged to submit a Free & Reduced Meal Application no later than September 25.

After September 25, students who do not have an approved application or Direct Certification status on file may be moved to the full-pay meal status, and families will be responsible for the regular meal price.

If you have questions about your student’s meal benefit status or need assistance completing an application, please contact the Child Nutrition Department.

This Saturday morning!

It’s HOME MEET WEEK!

This Saturday, we get to race on OUR course, and we would love to have a crowd out there cheering these kids on! The Mooreland XC Invitational always brings some of the best Cross Country talent in our area together, from our littlest runners all the way through high school. Come spend the morning with us and see just how much fun Cross Country can be!

9:30 AM | High School Boys
10:00 AM | High School Girls
10:30 AM | Junior High Boys
11:00 AM | Junior High Girls
11:30 AM | Elementary

Spectator admission is just $5 per car!

MOORELAND ELEMENTARY RUNNERS, WE WANT YOU OUT THERE TOO!
Any Mooreland student in 6th grade or below who would like to race in the Elementary division can participate FREE of charge!

Please email Coach Hoover at [email protected] to get your runner preregistered. Pre-registration closes Thursday at 11:59 PM.

Bring the family, find a spot along the course, and COME LOUD! There’s nothing better than hearing a crowd when you’re digging deep toward that finish line.

We can’t wait to show off our home course and some incredibly talented runners this Saturday!

Friday nights have a new voice!

We’re excited to officially welcome Scott McAllister as the new Voice of the Bearcats!

Scott brings experience behind the microphone, a knack for engaging a crowd and, most importantly, an excitement for creating the kind of Friday night atmosphere that makes high school football special.

We can’t wait to have him in the press box as he puts his own voice on Bearcat Football and becomes part of the traditions that make Friday nights in Mooreland special.

Bearcat Football opens the 2026 season tonight as Mooreland takes on Guymon at Anchor D Stadium on the OPSU campus.

Kickoff is at 7:00 PM, and admission is FREE! Load up, wear your Royal Blue and make the trip west to cheer on our Bearcats!
