♻️ Moorestown is partnering with Helpsy!
We’re working together to keep unwanted textiles out of our landfills and give them a second life through reuse and recycling.
You might be surprised by what qualifies — even old stuffed toys, luggage, and footwear (in any condition) can be collected, as long as they’re clean, dry, and odorless.

Let’s keep Moorestown sustainable, one bag at a time. 💚🌎

The Department of Public Works is now accepting secondhand clothing, footwear, accessories and linen donations at our Department of Public Works, located at 601 East 3rd Street. Moorestown Township has partnered with Helpsy, an organization that collects, sorts, and trades secondhand clothes and shoes. In 2024 alone, our team collected over 32 million pounds of clothes, shoes, and other items.

For re-wear, reuse, and recycling, Helpsy accepts the items in any condition for all ages and genders so long as they are clean, dry, and odorless. Everything should be kept dry in a closed, plastic bag. Head to Helpsy's What We Accept page to learn more.

Please donate if you can.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits may not be distributed on Nov. 1 due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. Recognizing that members of the Moorestown community rely on these benefits, we've composed a list of local food resources.

Please share widely. We also strongly encourage those who are able to donate to do so at this time. Every contribution counts.

Over the weekend, local law enforcement safely removed volatile materials from two Moorestown homes. Thanks to the swift action of our local, county, state, and federal partners our community remained safe. The investigation is ongoing, and I’m grateful to all who played a role in protecting Moorestonians.

CORRECTION: Moorestown High School, William Allen Middle School and the Upper Elementary School were swept to locate explosive materials. None were found.
