Burlington County Democratic Committee Chair Matt Riggins said:

"Let’s call Chairwoman Hanlon’s announcement what it is: an election interference task force. It is a deliberate attempt to distract from the chaos that Donald Trump is inflicting on our economy and our global standing.
The fact that a member of the Burlington County Board of Elections, a bipartisan body that does the vital work of administering our elections every year, has lent her name to this effort is a shameful use of her position. Burlington County Democrats will not stand by while Republicans use offices of public trust to attack the votes of the people we serve. I call on every New Jersey voter regardless of party to reject these blatant attempts at undermining our most sacred obligation: the right to vote."

More than 1,500 people gathered in Moorestown for the “No Kings” rally, standing together to send a clear message: power belongs to the people, not any one individual.

Burlington County showed up strong. When our values are on the line, this community doesn’t sit back, we stand up. Chairman Riggins was proud to stand alongside Commissioner candidate Jon Chebra, Senator Troy Singleton, and Mayor Quinton Law.

I'd like to thank Mr. Moustakas for putting his name forward to be considered for County Commissioner. His decision to end his campaign and choose unity is indicative of our shared values as a party - coming together for the greater good and speaking out with one voice for the causes we believe in.

I appreciate Nik's involvement in this process and look forward to supporting his leadership in Mount Laurel.
