Showers continue to drift southeast this afternoon.

The most persistent rainfall is currently impacting southern Rowan County, particularly near the Kannapolis area, where periods of moderate rain are occurring. Additional showers extend southward into Cabarrus County and toward Concord.

📍 Southern Rowan County: Light to moderate rain with a few heavier pockets possible.

📍 Central Rowan County: Mainly dry, with only isolated light showers nearby.

📍 Northern Rowan County: Largely dry at this time.

No severe weather is indicated, but if you’re in southern Rowan County, don’t be surprised by a brief downpour as these showers continue moving through.

The overall trend remains for activity to gradually shift southeast and weaken as we move closer to sunset.

A few isolated showers continue to develop across Rowan County this afternoon.

The strongest activity at the moment is located near the Cleveland area in western Rowan County, with additional light to moderate showers stretching from China Grove through Faith and toward Rockwell.

📍 Current movement: Drifting southeast

Most of this activity remains below severe limits, but a few brief downpours are possible as these showers slowly move through the area.

• Cleveland
• Woodleaf
• China Grove
• Landis
• Faith
• Rockwell

Keep an eye out for a quick shower over the next hour or two.

I'll continue monitoring radar trends and provide updates if any storms begin to strengthen.

Patterson Farm Market & Tours, Inc. Summer Camps are back — and they’re the perfect mix of learning and hands-on farm fun for kids!

These half-day, weeklong camps (Monday–Friday mornings) are designed for ages 5–11, with a leadership option available for older kids.

Campers will:
• Care for farm animals
• Explore crops and nature
• Create crafts
• Take on STEM challenges and games
• Build curiosity and confidence outdoors

Each session includes snacks, materials, and take-home items, with optional early drop-off and late pick-up available.
