Our Summer Lunch Food Truck was a hit today! ☀️🚚
Thank you to all of the volunteers who gave their time to help us serve breakfast and lunch to children in our community.
One mother at an apartment complex we visited shared, “The food truck helps me so much over the summer. I work from home, so it helps provide a quick lunch for my children and it’s especially helpful between paychecks.”
Stories like hers are exactly why FeedNC's Summer Hunger Food Drive is so important. When school is out, many children lose access to the meals they rely on throughout the year. The food and funds donated during our Summer Hunger Food Drive help make programs like our Summer Lunch Food Truck possible, ensuring children and families have access to nutritious meals when they need them most.
Beginning June 15, our goal is to collect **15,000 pounds of food and raise $40,000** to help support local families this summer.
