Happy 175th Birthday to the Livingston Lord Library’s namesake! 🎉

Dr. Livingston C. Lord was the first president of Minnesota State Moorhead, then known as the Moorhead Normal School. He began his leadership in 1888, at the very beginning of our university’s history, and served until 1899.

Join us in celebrating by visiting the library on Friday, August 28, around 11 AM for a piece of cake while supplies last! 🍰

This week, 83 years ago, the U.S. Army Air Corps and Moorhead State Teachers College were preparing to host the 346th Aircrew Training Detachment. As part of those preparations, Aircrew trainees faced visitor restrictions and were strongly discouraged from inviting guests to campus outside designated visiting hours or scheduled campus nights.
