New Politics New Politics recruits, develops, and helps elect servant leaders.

We support veterans, AmeriCorps alumni, returned Peace Corps volunteers, and community leaders as they bring their commitment to service into politics.

Female veterans are running for Congress this year in record numbers. Why? They know how to do hard things for their country, and they’re tired of watching career politicians fail to deliver.

“ You have to be willing to chew gum and ride a bike at the same time.” That’s Eileen Laubacher — Retired Navy Rear Admiral and mom of five, now running to unseat Lauren Boebert in CO-04. Nancy Lacore, Retired Navy Vice Admiral and mom of six, is right there with her in SC-01.

New Politics is proud to back nine female veterans like them this cycle: Marines, Navy helicopter pilots, and Army paratroopers.

Here’s why it matters: A new Gallup poll found that 90% of adults over 50 trust elected leaders with military experience, regardless of party. More than half of all adults say they believe military service helps prepare someone to lead.

In races that will be decided by 1 to 3 points, that trust is everything. Where typical politicians aren’t cutting it, servant leaders are.

This is exactly why New Politics exists.

We’re all in on electing leaders who served. Follow along New Politics to learn more.

NEW POLLING: Marine Corps veteran Maura Sullivan now leads in NH-01, up 26% to 24% over Stefany Shaheen in the Democratic primary, with 27% still undecided.

Just one month out from the primary, the trend is clear: momentum is building for Maura. Voters are fired up for the next generation of servant leadership.

Maura knows the responsibility of leadership is earned, not given. She’s ready to bring her fight for New Hampshire families to Washington.

DCCC just added three New Politics-backed servant leaders to its ‘Red to Blue’ roster, joining 11 of our candidates in the highly competitive program.

Former Navy JAG officer Zach Dembo (KY-06), Ret. Army Brigadier General Leela Gray (FL-13), and Ret. Navy Vice Admiral Nancy Lacore (SC-01) have already proven in uniform that they have what it takes to lead and deliver for the American people.

Their strength of character and backgrounds rooted in service is what wins elections. It’s what’s going to flip the House in November.

75 days to go.

BIG WIN: Ret. Army Brigadier General Leela Gray just secured the Democratic nomination in FL-13!

Leela served 30 years in uniform, then fought for veterans as an attorney. Floridians deserve a leader like Leela who will always put our country first.

New Politics is proud to endorse Mitchell Berman for Congress in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District.

Mitchell is an ER nurse who spent over a decade caring for veterans, active duty servicemembers, and their families at the VA. Mitchell’s servant leadership and commitment to putting others first is what the people of Wisconsin deserve in Congress.

Following his primary victory last week, polling shows the race for WI-01 in a dead heat, with Berman trailing incumbent Bryan Steil by just one point.

If anybody can flip this district, it’s a servant leader like Mitchell Berman.

Ed Markey voted for the Iraq War. That vote sent Seth Moulton, then a young Marine, into combat.

Now Markey’s billionaire-backed SuperPAC is attacking Seth, one of the most outspoken critics of the war in Iran, on foreign policy.

More than 1.5 million U.S. service members like Seth served in Iraq between 2003 and 2011. An attack on one veteran is an attack on all who served.

Markey should be ashamed his SuperPAC would smear a veteran his vote sent to war. Seth Moulton has seen the consequences of failed leadership in Washington on the ground in the Middle East. It’s time for new leadership.

Allow us to reintroduce David Crowley.

A kid from the 53206, one of the state’s toughest ZIP codes.

Found his purpose with AmeriCorps Public Allies. Made history as the youngest person and first African American elected as Milwaukee County Executive.

Now he’s the Democratic nominee for Governor of Wisconsin.

Same guy, same fight, same passion for service.

Don’t call it a comeback, he’s been here for years.
