Time to start thinking about getting those mail-in ballots for the June primaries, especially with the changes in the Post Office and if you are family members are overseas. nmvote.org is also a great link to register or check your registration, or if you just have question about voting.
**The mail ballot request portal is now open for the 2026 Primary Election.**
Remember, though, County Clerks cannot begin mailing ballots to voters who have successfully requested one until May 5th (so even if you've already requested one don't expect it to come to you until after that day). The deadline to request a mailed ballot is May 19th.
Mailed ballots must be received by your County Clerk by 7:00 pm on Primary Election Day, June 2nd. Voters have multiple ways to return a mailed ballot:
➡️You can send your ballot back by mail. If mailing your ballot back, we suggest mailing it no later than one week before Election Day to ensure it arrives to your County Clerk no later than 7:00 pm that day.
➡️ You can hand deliver it to your County Clerk's office.
➡️ You can return it through an official election drop box in your county.
➡️ You can bring it to any polling location in your county.
