At approximately 0245 this morning, BC15-1 and E15-1 were dispatched to a reported vehicle accident on E. Arata Rd. Crews arrived to find a fully involved vehicle fire with no occupants inside. The fire was brought under control quickly and no injuries were reported.

Thursday morning, Engine 15-2 noticed a column of smoke in the area of West Lane and Bear Creek. After investigating, crews located approximately one acre of grass burning. Working alongside , firefighters were able to quickly and efficiently contain and extinguish the fire. Thank you to for capturing these incredible photos!

Earlier today (5/19/2026 at 1223 hrs), E152, alongside and , responded to a four-vehicle collision on northbound Highway 99 at the Harney Lane off-ramp.

Fire crews rapidly extricated one patient with major injuries, who was transported along with another patient suffering moderate injuries. Sadly, the incident also resulted in fatalities.

We ask the community to please slow down, remain alert, and use caution in the area while emergency crews continue cleanup operations and traffic remains backed up.

The district proudly celebrated its annual Firefighter recognition dinner, acknowledging 5 promotions and years of service for 7 members. Huge congratulations to Captain Trent Silva, Engineers Robby Jones and Caleb Wilson, and Firefighters Chandler Bishop and Isaiah Tariku on their promotions! Battalion Chief Jason Harper's well-deserved Firefighter of The Year award reflects his exceptional leadership and commitment. We look forward to another great year of serving the community!

Last night, WMR responded to multiple vehicle accidents. The first one (4/25/2026 @2100) was an overturned vehicle on N Wilson way with no injuries reported. The second (4/26/2026 @0508) with , was a rollover accident submerged in the Calaveras river. One person was found trapped and was quickly extricated. Unfortunately, the solo occupant succumbed to their injuries. We’re proud to serve!

Last night (4/22/2026 @2233) BC15-1, E15-1, E15-2, WT15-1, along with WT5-2 responded to Highway 88 and Newby Ln for a commercial vehicle fire. E15-1 arrived on scene first and reported 5 Semi trucks fully engulfed. E15-1 initiated an aggressive fire attack while E15-2 supported with additional attack, keeping the fire from spreading. The fire was quickly brought under control, and units remained on scene for over an hour for mop up.
