Moravian Falls Fire Department would like to give a big WELCOME BACK to all of our students, teachers, faculty, and staff at Moravian Falls Elementary School, Wilkes Central Middle School, and Wilkes Central High School as you begin the 2026–2027 school year!

Notice is hereby given that the burn ban is still in effect, and all burn permits have been canceled. No burning is permitted under any circumstances. Strict adherence to this ban is required due to forecasted warmer temperatures and increasing dryness over the next week to 10 days.

A burn ban has been implemented this evening at 6:00 P.M. due to the current dry conditions and the high risk of wildfires. Wilkes County has also issued a burn ban, effective this evening, prohibiting any burning within 100 feet of any structure. Let's work together as a community to ensure our safety.
