Notice is hereby given that the burn ban is still in effect, and all burn permits have been canceled. No burning is permitted under any circumstances. Strict adherence to this ban is required due to forecasted warmer temperatures and increasing dryness over the next week to 10 days.

A burn ban has been implemented this evening at 6:00 P.M. due to the current dry conditions and the high risk of wildfires. Wilkes County has also issued a burn ban, effective this evening, prohibiting any burning within 100 feet of any structure. Let's work together as a community to ensure our safety.

With countless emergency calls answered, numerous late nights persevered, and rigorous training sessions completed, our team has proven their unwavering commitment to protecting our community.

We are honored to recognize the outstanding achievements of our members with the following prestigious awards:

2. 2025 First Responder of the Year: Tim Roten, whose selfless service embodies the spirit of our department.
