We gathered our Brushy Mountain Fire Family together for a group picture this week. Most were able to be there. Just wanted to recognize them for another great year of volunteer service to our community! Thanks for all you do every day with little recognition. The training, the calls and the maintenance on trucks the station and equipment. It's been happening without fail in our community for over 50 years. Different generations and people, same goal, community service! Hopefully it will continue for many years to come!

Thanks everyone for your support, we have sold out of pies. We will be at the Brushy Mountain Apple Festival the first Saturday in October downtown North Wilkesboro.

We have 150 apple pies available that we did not sell at the pie festival. We will be selling them for $2 a pie if anyone is interested. They will be available from 1230 until 130 tomorrow at the station.
