Our first of the season at Olde Beaufort Farmers' Market was a great success! Because of the generosity of market shoppers, we were able to collect 55 pounds of fresh produce. Fruits and vegetables from JW Merrell Farm, Harlowe Custom Microgreens, and Chadwick Family Homestead will be delivered to Hope Mission, helping to bring nutritious food to those in our community who are food insecure.

Another exciting Sweetpotato Celebration Day at Olde Beaufort Farmers' Market! Thank you to everyone that stopped by on Saturday to visit Spencer the Sweetpotato, get your free Nc Sweet Potato Commission recipes and sweet taters (gotta love supporting JW Merrell Farm), learn about the health benefits of our state vegetable, and donate towards providing meals and fresh produce to our local food pantries.

Spencer may be a “tired tater” after last weekend, but our mission to fight food insecurity is energetic as ever! Stop by our booth at the market this coming Saturday, 11/08, and learn more about what we do in the community to feed those in need. We are always looking for volunteers and will be taking monetary and non-refrigerated donations.
