The Doctrines of The Salvation Army

Eleven Doctrines make up the core beliefs of The Salvation Army. These doctrines are universal to The Salvation Army - all Salvation Army units around the world subscribe to these beliefs and use them as the motivation for all service in which they engage. We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God, and that th

ey only constitute the Divine rule of Christian faith and practice. We believe that there is only one God, who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver, and Governor of all things, and who is the only proper object of religious worship. We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead-the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory. We believe that in the person of Jesus Christ the Divine and human natures are united, so that He is truly and properly God and truly and properly man. We believe that our first parents were created in a state of innocency, but by their disobedience they lost their purity and happiness, and that in consequence of their fall all men have become sinners, totally depraved, and as such are justly exposed to the wrath of God. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has by His suffering and death made an atonement for the whole world so that whosoever will may be saved. We believe that repentance towards God, faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit, are necessary to salvation. We believe that we are justified by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and that he that believeth hath the witness in himself. We believe that continuance in a state of salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ. We believe that it is the privilege of all believers to be wholly sanctified, and that their whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the immortality of the soul; in the resurrection of the body; in the general judgment at the end of the world; in the eternal happiness of the righteous; and in the endless punishment of the wicked.

What does one week of camp mean to a child in need?

It means laughter echoing through the trees.
It means stories around the campfire.
It means knowing they're loved by Jesus and by people like you.

Every child we send to camp receives more than just food and fun — they receive encouragement, purpose, and the chance to grow in faith and confidence.

Your support can be the reason a child says, “That was the best week of my life.”

It is almost time for summer camp. We begin taking kids to camp beginning Monday. We are excited to see what God has in store for each of us. Please be in prayer for those attending camp, those working at camp and those getting the kids ready to go.

What to do when Big Rock Tournament is in town? How about serve others in the community. Tonight was a two stop…Macon Court and Crystal Coast apartments. It was a good night to not have to turn your stove on. We are blessed to serve our community.

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15

Camp is calling and a child in our community is hoping to answer.

For many kids, summer camp is more than just a break from routine. It is a place where they feel safe, build friendships, and experience joy.

You can help make that possible.

Your gift sends a child to Camp Walter Johnson, where they will try new things, grow in confidence, and hear a message of hope that can change their life.

Will you send a child to camp today?

Our last Youth Night before the summer break. Get Your Summer On was a lot of fun, with a sweet treat and some cool time together. We ended our evening together with a short lesson on Kindness and Love from Galatians 5:22-23 which reminds of the fruit of the Spirit. Join us in September when we resume a monthly youth night.
