Draft STIP Open for Comment!
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet draft of the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) is now available for review. The STIP outlines how funding from the Enacted Highway Plan (2026-2032) will be used for transportation projects across Kentucky. From now until August 30, 2026, you can submit comments on the draft version of the STIP. The link below will take you to the program management page of KYTC’s website; from there, you can select the Draft STIP link, which will provide instructions and contacts for submitting comments.

The draft STIP includes federally funded projects of all sizes over the next four years, from megaprojects like the I-69 Ohio River Crossing in Western Kentucky and the Mountain Parkway Expansion project in Eastern Kentucky to countless local road and bridge projects. Public transportation, aviation and federal programs to fund projects that reduce traffic congestion and air pollution are also included.
