Rowan County 4-H 4-H prepares young people to step up to the challenges in their community and the world.

Using research-based programming around positive youth development, 4-H youth get the hands-on real world experience they need to become leaders. Educational programs of the Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, sex, religion, disability or national origin.

🐴🌟 Calling all friends, families, local businesses, and horse lovers! 🌟🐴

The Rowan County 4-H Horse Club is looking for sponsors and donations for our Summer Fun Show on June 6th at Morehead State University!

This is a great way to support local youth, our horse community, and help make the show a fun and successful event for all the kids involved. 💚🐎

We are looking for:
⭐ Show Sponsors – $50
⭐ Class Sponsors – $20
⭐ Donation items for class prizes

Sponsors will be announced throughout the show and class sponsors will be recognized during their chosen class.

Our SET club put their engineering skills to the test by building the tallest tower possible! We measured our towers, counted the number of bricks used, and learned all about balance, stability, and teamwork along the way. So much creativity and problem-solving happening with this activity! 🧱🍀

Join us for Sunday Funday at the Park as we celebrate some exciting additions to Rowan County’s recreational spaces and spend the day together as a community.

We’ll be dedicating the new Sports Complex, made possible through the generosity of Independent Stave Company and the Boswell family, as well as a brand-new playground, made possible in part through the meaningful contributions of the friends and family of Janie Holbrook in her memory.

From there, the day opens up into a full afternoon of activities:

• Food trucks including Fork and Flame, Meg’s Culinary Kitchen, and Chillbilly Ice Cream
• Games and activities for kids organized by the Rowan County Extension Office
• Pickleball demonstrations and lessons on the new courts for anyone interested in learning
• And plenty of space to relax, connect, and enjoy the park

It’s shaping up to be a great day, and we’d love to see you there.

Everyone is welcome — bring your family, bring a chair, and come spend some time with us.
