Rudy and Billie Renee had the chance to share just a little piece of Rudy Fest on WKYT this morning, and what a blessing it is to look back on 25 years of tradition.
It is hard to believe how this festival has grown from those early days, when it all started as a way to help buy JFL football uniforms, into something so many families, musicians, pickers, campers, and bluegrass fans look forward to year after year.
Rudy, the man, the myth, the legend, has poured his heart into this festival, and his dear friend Billie Renee has been right there by his side from the beginning, performing and helping carry on the music and memories that make Rudy Fest so special.
Here’s to 25 years of banjos, ballads, bluegrass, friendship, and tradition. 🪕🎶💙
