This Memorial Day, Team March pauses to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we cherish and reminds us of the true cost of liberty.

As we gather with family and friends, we remember those who never made it home and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward. Your courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

From all of us at March Air Reserve Base — thank you to our fallen heroes, our Gold Star families, and all who continue to serve in their memory.

Today we honor all mothers—the everyday heroes who lead, support, sacrifice, and inspire both at home and in service to our nation.

Check out ’s Mother’s Day message recognizing the incredible mothers of Team March and beyond.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers of Team March and beyond.

Today, I want to personally thank the mothers who entrusted the care of their sons and daughters to the United States Air Force. Your sacrifice, strength, and support make our mission possible. Behind every Airman is a family that serves alongside them, and we never forget that.

To the mothers currently serving in uniform—thank you for showing the world what resilience, leadership, and love look like every single day. Balancing service to country and devotion to family is no easy task, yet you continue to answer both callings with strength and grace.

And to every mother—whether at home, in uniform, supporting from afar, or leading by example—you are everyday heroes. Your impact reaches farther than you know, and your care helps shape the next generation of leaders, warriors, and citizens.

Thank you for everything you do for your families, your communities, and our nation.

Happy Mother’s Day!

For many families, quality time means Sunday dinners or holiday gatherings. For Senior Airman Michelle Bradley and her son, Airman Gion Gomez, it means serving side by side in uniform at March Air Reserve Base.

In April 2026, the pair reached a milestone: 21-year-old Gomez completed his first Unit Training Assembly (UTA), commonly known as a drill weekend. Now both members of the Air Force Reserve, the mother and son are living out the core value of “Service Before Self” as a shared family commitment in Southern California.

For Bradley, the decision to join the Air Force Reserve was nearly a decade in the making.

“The idea had been there since high school,” she said. “I took the ASVAB, scored well, but ended up going to college because that was the expected path at the time and received a scholarship.” Years later, after raising children and navigating a divorce, Bradley felt the pull to serve once again—this time with urgency.

“When my son said he was considering joining the military, I thought, ‘It’s now or never—let’s do it,’” she said. After what she described as an eight-year process, Bradley finally received confirmation that she would attend Basic Military Training.

“I realized I wasn’t getting any younger,” she added. “If I was going to do this, I needed to make that decision.” Today, Bradley serves in the 452d Operations Support Squadron as an Aircrew Flight Equipment specialist, responsible for maintaining critical, life-saving gear that supports mission readiness. Her journey left a lasting impression on her son.

“I wanted to join the Air Force because of my mom,” Gomez said. “Seeing her come home in uniform and watching her graduate on the parade field inspired me. I wanted to experience that for myself.”

“It’s definitely an honor seeing my mom in uniform,” he added. “We even carpool together, and I get to tell people, ‘Yeah, that’s my mom—she works on base too.’”

Gomez now serves in the 452d Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron as a Medical Materiel specialist. Outside of his military duties, he is a college student, hoping to get into ROTC and looking to major in education and enjoys hiking local trails, including Mount Rubidoux.

For Bradley, her son’s decision to enlist was both personal and rare. “A lot of senior leaders talk about trying to encourage their children to join,” she said. “So when he made that decision on his own, it was a very proud moment.”

Looking ahead, both Bradley and Gomez share another goal: earning a commission as Air Force officers.

“I’m definitely exploring opportunities to become an officer now that I have more experience,” Bradley said. Their shared ambition has sparked lighthearted competition at home. Since enlisted members salute officers, the question of who will commission first has become an ongoing family debate.

“It’s definitely a battle,” Bradley said with a laugh. “He thinks I’ll be saluting him first—but I’m determined it’ll be the other way around.”

Whether it’s sharing a ride to drill, working toward their next goal, or simply wearing the same uniform, Bradley and Gomez are proving that service can be more than an individual calling—it can be a family bond.

At March Air Reserve Base, their journey is not just about supporting the mission, but about doing it together.

🛡️ “Strengthening the Force: Military and Family Readiness Program”
✍️ By Tech. Sgt. Kekoa Santiago

📍 MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, Calif. —
“Mission success depends not only on the readiness of Airmen but also on the stability and well-being of their families.”

💪 Through the Military & Family Readiness Program, Airmen, spouses and families are connected to critical resources that build resilience, strengthen stability and keep our force mission-focused—especially when deployments can happen in as little as ⏱️ 72 hours.

🍼 “We can help guide members and their families to the correct resource such as baby formula or diapers,” said TSgt Aracely Beadsley.

🤝 From deployment support and financial assistance to everyday essentials and community connection, this program ensures no Airman or family stands alone.

⭐️Born Into Service. Raised on Strength. ⭐️

April is Month of the Military Child—and at March Air Reserve Base, we recognize the strength behind every mission.🛩️💪

On April 12, 2026, from 0900–1100, Team March captured portraits of our military children—showcasing the resilience, sacrifice, and pride behind every uniform. 📸🫡

They navigate new schools, long separations, and constant change with a strength far beyond their years. They don’t wear the uniform—but they carry the weight of service every single day.

These aren’t just portraits—they’re a reminder: our mission is only as strong as the families who stand behind it.

At March ARB, readiness starts at home—and our military children are at the heart of it. 🏠

To our military kids: we see you, we’re proud of you, and we thank you. 💙✈️🇺🇸

A special thank you to the families who showed up, trusted us with these moments, and made this event such a meaningful experience. Your presence is what brought this to life and we look forward to the next event.
