Time travel through the fight for equality! Hendrick Ranch is celebrating African-American heroes then and now.

Then: Maya Angelou, 1928-2014, was a poet and acclaimed writer. She is most famous for her poem, "Still I Rise".

Now: Amanda Gorman, born in 1998, is the youngest inaugural poet in US history, an award winning writer, and a cm laude graduate of Harvard University. Her inaugural poem was called, "The Hill We Climb".
