Today I spoke with FEMAs disaster survivor assistance team, they informed me they will be going door to door in areas of town hit from the July flooding. This could happen as early as Thursday of this week August 29th they will have their FEMA photo ID. They said that they will not enter properties that have no trespassing, beware of dog or posted signs that they see on the property. If you wish to still have them visit either take them down or reach out to me to plan a meeting. There are a few other ways to reach out to them to apply for assistance.

If the forecast sticks we will see heavy rain Friday night August 9th into Saturday August 10th. This seems increasing likely to cause flooding. With that NOW IS THE TIME TO PREPARE! Over the next few days take a minute around your property to check that ditches and culverts are clean of debris. Also take a little time to plan what if there’s a flood? There are many resources that the state as well as The National Weather Service have to help you prepare for your specific situation. We will be watching this storm closely and will do our best to update you as things progress.
