Vehicle Taxes
As many of you know used vehicle prices have skyrocketed due to the non availability of new vehicles which is affecting the amount of tax we are charged. As of right now we can run your car VIN through NADA with current mileage and options to make adjustments but this generally only helps in high mileage vehicles. Right now there are multiple bills in the Kentucky house and senate to fix this spike in prices. This problem has to be fixed by the general assembly so please contact your legislators and ask them to support bills that help us get through this spike. Starting today November 19th, 2020 the courthouse will be closed to the public till further notice. The PVA office is still open and fully staffed. If anything from our office is needed please call 1-270-389-1933 or 1-270-389-1973. We will try to meet you needs over the phone and can email or fax needed information. We will also be checking the clerk’s drop box location.

Due to the Presidential election tomorrow the Union County PVA Office will be closed. We will reopen Wednesday at 8:00. Do your part and go vote tomorrow!!!

Today through July 20th is our annual inspection of the tax roll. If you received a notice or would just like to discuss your current assessment you may call or visit our office. After the 20th the tax roll locks and no changes can be made to the assessments you will be taxed on when bills go out this fall

By Order of the Governor we will no longer be allowing in-person visits into our office starting tomorrow 3/18/20. Our staff will be avaliable during normal business hours via phone or email. We are currently working on a plan to meet the needs of our customers. More to follow.
