Our Union County Chamber of Commerce will hold its September meeting Thursday, Sept. 12, noon, at the Earle C CLements Job Corps Academy. The meeting will be held in the Culinary Arts Building. The lunch and speaker will be priovided by the Job Corps, followed by a business meeting and announcements.
All Chamber members and guests are invited!

The Union County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Candidates Forum on Tuesday, September 10 for all local candidates seeking election on November 5.
The Forum will be held at the Union County Expo Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the forum will get u underway at 6:30 p.m. Each candidate will be given three minutes to talk about his or her race and time will be set aside for questions from the audience. Refreshments will be served.
Races in November include those for the city councils in Morganfield, Sturgis, and Uniontown. As well as Mayor of Sturgis; Union County School Board-District 3; Union County School Bord District 5; and Circuit Court Clerk.

Union County Animal Control Rabies & Microchip Clinic - April 2nd

Come on out to the Union County Animal Shelter on April 2, 2022 from 10am to 2pm. Low cost rabies vaccinations and low cost microchips available for your dogs and cats!! There will also be nail trims, dog tags, dog baths (weather permitting) and vendors on site! Bring the kids for the Morganfield Fire Department’s Fire Safety Trailer and other activities!! Our last event was in 2019, so please take advantage of these low cost options for your pet! For more information, please call (270)389-3000. Vendors are welcome to rent table space. Stop by the Union County Courthouse and vote for our Gingerbread House!! Votes are cast by pennies and ALL proceeds go to Shop With A Cop! We are excited to decorate the Community Tree at the Courthouse again this year! Thanks to so many of you, this was a great success in 2019 with 60 creative ornaments and we hope to add even more this year.

If you would like to submit an ornament that represents your business or organization, please contact Union County First at (270) 389-9600. The tree and ornaments will be on display beginning November 21st and during regular Courthouse hours throughout the month of December.

ACT NOW! Healthy at Home Utility Relief Fund Available for those in need.

Are you struggling to pay or have past due balances on your water, sewer, gas, or electric bills due to COVID-19?

If so, the Healthy at Home Utility Relief Fund provides relief to Kentuckians but funds will expire by December 31, 2020.

Eligible households can get $500 to pay water bills and $400 to pay gas or other utility bills.

The application is simple to complete but you must call 800-456-3452 or visit Community Action of Kentucky at https://www.capky.org/covid-19-resources/

How to Apply:

STEP 1 - Interested households should contact their local Community Action Outreach Office by calling Call 800-456-3452 or visit https://www.capky.org/covid-19-resources/. Applications will be taken as long as funding is available, or until December 30, 2020.

Am I Eligible?:
Households who have an income up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level and have been economically impacted due to COVID-19 can apply.
