First Dr. Yum class is in the books! 🍓🔪
The kids had so much fun chopping their own fruit to make strawberry salsa. Some of them even tried kiwi and mint for the very first time! Today they learned safe chopping skills, and explored new flavors. Each kid also went home with their own strawberry plant. Such a fun and exciting first class! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

If you are expecting a little one or already have a newborn you don't want to miss it......there will be community vendors set up to share information about their services, speakers to share new baby information and answer your questions, free food and lots of gifts to give away! Join us for the Annual World’s Greatest Baby Shower! There will be great educational information, an expert panel, giveaways, and food. You must register by May 31, 2026 by calling the Union County Extension Office at 270-389-1400.

Apron sewing success! We had 3 ladies sew beautiful aprons and then we had a youngster who outdid them all and made a pillow, belt, purse and a couple scarves 😜. FUN day sure! Thank you to Angie Swihart, Hancock Co FCS agent, for teaching the class!

Tonight was cookie decorating at the extension office! We all learned how much work goes into making those beautiful royal icing cookies 🤤. Thank you April Hooper with She Shed Bakery for teaching!

Who has ever made their own cheese and crackers? These folks did last night! The pictures aren’t the best (it was busy in the kitchen 😜) but each group ended up with a beautiful ball of cheese and some scrumptious crackers——all made from scratch! Thanks once again to our fearless DIY leader Tamara Mackey—she does it ALL!
