The City of Morgan's Point Resort was officially incorporated on July 1, 1970. The first City Marshal of Morgan's Point Resort was Vernon J. Six years later, in December of 1976, the office of the City Marshal was abolished and the Police Department along with the Office of Chief of Police was created. Since that date, the officers and employees of the Police Department continue to serve the citizens of Morgan's Point Resort through our core values of Courtesy, Professionalism, and Respect.

Residents have reported suspicious trees holding radar guns around Morgan’s Point Resort.

We can now confirm our officers have officially unlocked a new stealth level known as “Tree Mode.” Equipped with solar-powered radar technology and fueled almost entirely by sweet tea and Dr Pepper, these highly trained hardwood units are difficult to detect. Slow down… the bark might be watching. 👀🌲

[Sun 5/10 7 PM] The severe threat continues across Central TX from Hamilton extending into the Waco/Temple/Killeen area through 9 PM. Hail up to golf ball size is the main threat as well as damaging winds. Across North TX, isolated gusty winds and small hail are possible. Be ready to seek shelter if a warning is issued!
