A combination of well-above average temperatures, low relative humidity,
breezy winds, and worsening drought conditions will result in elevated fire weather conditions for this afternoon.

Winds will be out of the southwest this afternoon, gusting up to 20 to 25 mph, and relative humidity values will drop to around 25 to 35 percent across the area.

Conditions will improve after sunset as winds slowly decrease and relative humidity values increase.

Please NO BURNING TODAY!

Breezy south winds, low relative humidity values, and dry vegetation will lead to an elevated risk for wildfires this afternoon, mainly between noon and 7 PM. Outdoor burning and activities that involve open sparks or flames are discouraged.

The Fourth District Fire Department is proud to announce the installation of a Narcan (Naloxone) Box at our station.

This box is available to the public and stocked with Narcan, a life-saving medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. Our goal is to help provide quick access in emergencies and give our community another tool to save lives.

This project was made possible through a partnership with the Barren River District Health Department, and we appreciate their support in helping protect our community.

Opioid overdoses can happen anywhere, and having Narcan readily available can make the difference between life and death. We encourage everyone to take a moment to learn how to use it—you never know when you may be in a position to help someone in need.

Together, we can make a difference.
