Butler County WILL participate in the Annual Kentucky Statewide Tornado Drill on Wednesday, March 4 at 9:07 AM.
This statewide drill is coordinated by Kentucky Emergency Management and provides an excellent opportunity for residents to review and practice their tornado safety plans whether at home, school, or work.
If severe weather threatens at the scheduled time, the drill will be postponed to a fair-weather day.

Will alerts be activated?
Yes. The Emergency Alert System (EAS) will be activated, including:
•NOAA Weather Radio
•Local television and radio stations
•Cable system overrides
Exception: In northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana, the message will be transmitted as a Routine Weekly Test on NOAA Weather Radio in coordination with Cincinnati-area broadcasters.
Will outdoor warning sirens sound?
Yes. Outdoor warning sirens will sound at 9:07 AM

To allow all courthouse employees to participate if you are inside the courthouse at this time you will be asked to participate with everyone as well.
