Well, we’re here. Tomorrow is Election Day for us in the Primary. I would again like to thank each and every one of you who have supported along the way. Many of you I’ve gotten to know through this campaign. I’ve had the opportunity to meet new faces throughout the county. I’ve had the opportunity to catch up with folks I haven’t seen in some time. I appreciate those opportunities.
I’ve said this more than once-“I’m not a politician.” Even though I’m running for office, many of you know what I mean with that statement.
Let me tell you who I am. I am a husband. I am a father. I am a son. I’m a grandson, cousin, uncle, and friend. When I started this, I had some “friends” slam me and tell me how bad I would lose. I want to clear that statement up, not only for them but for everyone else. I’ve said from the start, this is not my election to “lose.” If I do not win, my life does not change. I still have my family. I still have my true friends. I still have my full-time job and my business. I still have other prospects of things on my plate to do and get done. Regardless of the outcome, I’m here. Living in and contributing to this county each and every day.
I set out to become your new County Judge Executive because I believe this county deserves a choice. I’m personally glad to see that most every office has opposition. Competition spurs growth. It spurs conversation. Competition forces each and every candidate to step up and face the challenge. At the end of the day, the county will be better for it and reap the benefit. That’s all I’m after. I want this county to succeed. I want each of you to succeed. If you haven’t made up your mind 100%, give me a shot.
Again, I appreciate you for the words of encouragement. I appreciate the friendships both old and new gained. I love this county.
Thank you all.
