🇺🇸 Labor Day Office Closure

Central New Mexico Electric Cooperative offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8.

Our crews remain ready to respond should an outage occur. We wish our members a safe and enjoyable Labor Day!

9/3 Service Outage Notice:
We are currently experiencing an internet outage affecting customers in Estancia and areas north of Moriarty. The outage is the result of a fiber cut impacting services in the area.
Our team is actively working with our uplink provider to restore connectivity as quickly as possible. At this time, the estimated restoration time is approximately 12 hours, though this may change as repair efforts progress.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. We will provide additional updates as they become available and once services have been restored.

7:44pm: We are pleased to report that internet services have been fully restored for customers in Estancia and areas north of Moriarty following the fiber cut that caused the outage.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while our team and our uplink provider worked to repair the issue and restore connectivity.

CNMEC members in the Los Cerritos subdivision in Edgewood will experience a planned power outage tomorrow from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM while crews complete necessary equipment work.

The outage will affect members along:

Camino Cerritos • Camino Collado • Lomas Court • Lomas Drive • Camino Estribor • Vista Cerritos • Cerro Court • Colina Verdosa Court • Parda Court

I would like to remind all members that Board meetings are open to the membership. The Board and I welcome your participation and attendance. If you have a question or would like to present an item for discussion, please contact the office so it can be added to the agenda. Member presentations are limited to five minutes per person to ensure the meeting remains productive and efficient. I understand the frustration many members are experiencing. Please know that CNMEC is committed to serving its members and will continue working to address the challenges associated with our aging electrical grid. We remain focused on improving system reliability and making the necessary investments to strengthen our infrastructure for the future.
