GENERAL ELECTION – NOVEMBER 5, 2024

INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE FILING INFORMATION

Filing time begins at 8:00 am on July 31, 2024 and ends on August 7, 2024 at noon.

You must file a Petition, Political Practices Pledge & Affidavit of Eligibility with the County Clerk’s Office. Candidates can start collecting signatures on their petition on May 9, 2024.

First Class Cities will require 30 valid signatures.
Second Class Cities will require 10 valid signatures.

Early Voting will be held at the Multipurpose Building at the Conway County Fairgrounds beginning on May 9th and ending on May 23rd. Hours of Early voting are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday and 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on the to Saturday's prior to Election Day.

Absentee Ballot applications are available at the County Clerk's Office or you may call 501-354-9621 for an application to be mailed.

The Democrat Party and the Republican Party will be set up for filing on the 1st floor of the Conway County Courthouse, February 22, 2022 – March 1, 2022.

The dates & hours they will be setup are as follows:

February 22, 2022 12:00 – 4:00
February 23, 2022 thru February 25, 2022 8:30 – 4:00
February 28, 2022 8:30 – 4:00
March 1, 2022 8:30 – 12:00

Candidates will file with their respective party first and then bring all paperwork received to the Conway County Clerk’s Office to complete the process.

School Board Candidates will turn in petitions to the County Clerk’s Office during the filing dates listed.

Just a reminder that today at noon you can begin filing school board petitions in the County Clerk's Office. The deadline for filing petitions is at noon on March 1st. If you are interested in running for School Board, you may pick up a petition at your school Superintendent's Office or you may come by or call the County Clerk's at 354-9621.

Annual School Election Information

Beginning on December 1, 2020 you may begin circulating petitions for the Annual School Board Election which will be held on May 18, 2021. The first day you may file a petition with the County Clerk’s Office is Noon on February 22, 2021 and the deadline to file a petition is Noon on March 1, 2021. Information regarding the November General Election

Date of Election: November 3, 2020
Last Day to Register to Vote: October 5, 2020
Deadline for County to County Transfer October 30, 2020

Early Voting will begin on October 19, 2020 in the 4th Floor Courtroom of the Conway County Courthouse. Early Voting will be held Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM and on the two Saturday’s prior to the Election from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Early Voting will end November 2, 2020 at 5:00 PM.

Absentee Applications are available now. You may request one to be mailed by calling the County Clerk’s Office at 501-354-9621.

Beginning with the General Election you may go to any Vote Center to cast your ballot. Post Cards are being mailed with all Vote Centers and Addresses.

Voting Information

Conway County has now implemented Vote Centers for all elections beginning with the 2020 General Election. Previously, you would have voted at your specified Polling Site but with the implementation of Vote Centers you may go to any Vote Center you choose located throughout the County. Early Voting will still be held prior to the election at the Conway County Courthouse.
