MOVIES IN THE PARK – RESCHEDULED! 🍿

We’ve got one more movie night to enjoy before we wrap up this year’s Movies in the Park series!

Our final movie, Zootopia 2, has been rescheduled for Friday, September 18th at Goold Park.

🌅 Sunset is at 6:57 PM, and the movie will begin at dusk, so bring your blankets, lawn chairs, family and friends and settle in for a fun night under the stars!

An open house on the Liberty Street renovation is rescheduled following recent storms. Join us Tuesday, September 8th from 5-7PM for an open house at City of Morris, IL Municipal Services Building. Give feedback on design features and prioritize needs identified by survey respondents, downtown event hosts, public safety leaders, and property owners.

The public is invited to learn about the Morris Technology Park, a planned data center campus in our community's industrial corridor. Tract, a land acquisition and development company, purchased the property and is working to attract an end user. They invite you to learn about the project, its anticipated community benefits, and more at one of these online meetings. Register using the QR codes below. Due to new water main installation, Conley Construction will be closing The Lisbon Street and Waverly Street intersection and portions of Waverly St on Monday and Tuesday 8/24/26 and 8/25/26 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Lisbon will be closed on Monday only, Waverly will be closed on both days. Please reference the map below showing the extent of the closures.

Monday 8/24/26
Lisbon will be closed from Rt 6 to Earl St. Parking lots and residences will be accessible, but no traffic will be able to go through the intersection of Waverly and Lisbon.

8/24/26 and 8/25/26
Waverly will be closed from just west of Elliot Manor to Clay St. Businesses, residences, and the Hospital will be accessible.
