Grundy County Animal Control Grundy County Animal Control is a government agency that consists of 5 staff members, 4 full time and 1 part time, of which 4 are Animal Control Officers.

Our job is to enforce laws regarding animal welfare, impound, catch strays, and adopt out. Provides for abandoned, abused, or lost animals in Grundy County. Enforces State and County laws on domestic pets. Provides the public with information on dogs and cats in the county. Places animals that are up for adoption. Returns lost pets to their owners. Registers dogs and cats in the county and makes sure of rabies innoculations.

Looking to add a new family member or a hiking buddy? Look no further! Han Solo is ready to be adopted or go out for our doggie daydream program! This handsome fella is a 6 year old cattle dog mix. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on rabies and distemper. Han Solo loves to cuddle and go for walks! ***ATTENTION!!!***

We have reached capacity for cats! Within the week we have taken in over 60 cats from unfortunate situations. Our facility is small and we want to be able to provide the best care possible to the animals currently in our building.

Due to the current numbers, we are NOT able to take in any stray cats, owner surrenders, or feral cats. We will keep you updated over the next couple weeks as our numbers hopefully go back down.

If you are looking to help, we will always take donations. Wet or dry cat food, cat litter, and unscented bleach would be the most helpful at this time.
