Please be aware of and comply with the temporary 'No Parking' signs posted within the residential area near the fairgrounds. Do not block intersections, crosswalks, hydrants and driveways. The City would much rather see you enjoy the fair and spend your hard-earned money there - not on a parking ticket!

PUBLIC HEARING - Water Works Park Splash Pad Project

ATTENTION City of Morrison Residents

The City of Morrison is looking to make improvements at Waterworks Park, to enhance the overall experience that the park provides and provide additional amenities for the City’s residents. The City’s proposed project is for the addition of a Splash Pad at Waterworks Park. The City is currently working to gather costs and public input about the potential improvements, which is why the City is asking for resident feedback. The City is inviting residents of Morrison to attend the Public Information Meetings to discuss the proposed project. There will be two total meetings held – July 27th at 6:30 pm & August 24th at 6:30 pm. Both meetings will be held at the Odell Public Library in the Community Room – 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL. 61270.

The City is looking to apply to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR) – Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant program. This grant program can pay up to 50% of the overall eligible project costs, which will provide the City with financial assistance and help in stretching the City’s revenue to complete additional projects.

For more information on the City’s proposed project or the public information meetings, please contact the Morrison City Administrator, Brian Melton, at 815-772-7657.
