Our Philosophy is “A Hand Up, not a Handout.” As a private, nonprofit organization, Homeless Solutions has been helping the homeless and working poor in our community since 1983. Our goal is to give those who we serve the tools and surroundings they need to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient. What sets our nonprofit apart from others is our Continuum of Housing through our Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing Program (THP), Mt. Kemble Home, and Affordable Housing. It was such a privilege to welcome NJ Assemblywoman Marisa Sweeney for a tour of our shelter and properties yesterday!

Assemblywoman Sweeney's commitment to advocating for our mission and recognizing the needs of our community means so much to us, and we are grateful to have such a passionate champion in our corner.

But don’t worry, you still have time to RSVP to our Young Professionals Ambassador Council Happy Hour!

If you’re a young professional living or working in Morris County and are between the ages of 21-45, we’d like you to join us this evening! It will be a fun night of food, drinks and networking with like-minded individuals who are passionate about volunteerism and advocacy.

What a day to remember! 🐴🍕🥚
Recently, a group of our lucky little ones, along with a parent and Youth program staff, spent an unforgettable day at Against the Wind Farm in Newton learning about horses, riding the magnificent Clydesdale "Winnie," enjoying a pizza lunch, and going home with goody bags and a dozen freshly laid eggs courtesy of the farm's working hens!

A sincere thank you to HSI supporter Maitland and friends of the Kappa Nu Nu Alumni Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated for extending this incredibly generous invitation and to the farm for welcoming us.
Experiences like these mean the world to the children in our programs, with memories to last a lifetime.💚

Every year, some of Morris County's most dedicated organizations come together for a common goal — making sure our community's most vital needs are met. We were proud to once again be part of the Annual Community Resource Exchange, where local nonprofits, county, state, and local officials gather to connect, share resources, and tackle the challenges facing our residents. Thank you to our hosts Interfaith Food Pantry Network, The ARC of Morris County, Family Promise Morris County NJ, Morris County Government Continuum of Care and Department of Human Services and to keynote speaker Mark Dinglasan, Executive Director, New Jersey Office of the Food Security Advocate for a compelling message about what we can accomplish when we work together.
