TO THE MOON, AND BEYOND

Christina Hammock Koch, a NASA astronaut and engineer, became the first woman to travel beyond the Moon as part of Artemis II mission. With a record-setting career in spaceflight and years of experience aboard the International Space Station, Koch helped lead humanity’s return to deep space for the first time since Apollo 17.

Very few of us can leave a lasting legacy, but GAIL MacNEIL (1943-2008) has with her inspiration of creating Turn The Towns Teal®, now a National Awareness Campaign for Ovarian Cancer Awareness.

As we enter our 20th year, thousands of women, men and children throughout the USA will rally to “Teal” their towns, neighborhoods, businesses, schools/colleges and homes with our simple, easy and very effective ribbon campaign in September, Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Our volunteers know that our campaign has saved women’s lives by making the public aware of Ovarian Cancer, its often subtle symptoms AND its risk factors.

We are forever grateful to Gail for this life-saving campaign that goes forward in her name and in her honor.
