Well, Senators, can we get a drumroll, please?

The winners of the 2026 WSCC Summer Reading Challenge team competition are…Lit Me Baby One More Time!

With a total of 76,220 pages read, this team led the pack all summer and finally took home the prize (bigtime bragging rights and their name on our homemade reading challenge plaque)! We’re so proud of this wildly literate team and their incredible work!

As a college, we read and tracked 537,840 pages this summer, up from 381,685 last year!

This challenge was more fun than the day we got all new book carts. Thanks for playing along, Senators. We’re already planning next year’s challenge. We’ll see you in the Library!

The WSCC Summer Reading Challenge will accept logged pages until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11. Just a few days left to record your reading and get in on the fun!

It’s almost August, Senators, and as the final weeks of our Summer Reading Challenge approach, the standings are as follows.

Lit Me Baby One More Time is still in the lead with almost 60,000 pages read, but Three Dudes and a Bookworm have passed up Booked and Cooked, finding themselves in second place and making inroads on Lit Me Baby’s lead. And what’s more, the Pangea Page Turners are hot on Booked & Cooked’s tail.

What will happen in the final weeks of our literary showdown? Only time and the spreadsheet will tell!

We’re taking page submissions until Tuesday, August 11th at 11:59 p.m. Keep reading until the last minute, Senators! It’s not over ‘til it’s over!
