Hey everyone!!
Pop Quiz!!!
How can you tell if a snake is poisonous?
( hint.... This is a trick question too)

Hello Everyone!
We sometimes forget to update this page and we apologize.
The next posts will be learning tools for the outdoors. We will learn how to identify a snake so if we encounter one while camping or hiking, we will know if it is harmless or dangerous.

We would like to thank our host Church, Panther Springs United Methodist Church, and our fellow Scout leaders of our community.
Thanks to them, donations were made and Scoutmasters Bill and Terry were able to get some new tents this past weekend and a few other supplies to replace what was stolen from the troop.
The trailer is safely parked in a location and the new items will be placed inside when the boys go camping.
We cannot express enough the gratitude of everyone who reached out to us... It truly shows the scouting spirit, as well as why Tennessee is the Volunteer State, when so many volunteered to help look for what was taken, and to give us things to replace what was stolen.
One bad act cannot rule over the many good acts that came afterwards.
We are still needing a few small things... But we will get there. But now when the boys camp in cooler weather, they will have tents to shelter them.
So again... We wholeheartedly thank you all. The outpouring of support was more than we expected. May you all be blessed with the same hope, love and support that you have given us!!!
I also want to thank an anonymous person for the donation of a new door lock for the trailer! They wanted to make sure we had it all secure and deter any more thefts.

We want to take a moment and thank this amazing man for being not just our Scoutmaster, OA Representative, Eagle Board Chairman, and all around amazing human being. Long after his son left scouting, he stayed in and a vital part to the Hamblen Area scouting. He was funny, witty, and a downright Hoot to be around. His gentle but big heart, love for the area youth, and larger than life personality will be missed so much. Here are a few photos of Chris Sigler through the years... Mrs Bree
