Election sabotage is alive and well in North Carolina 👀
Texts now confirm Dallas Woodhouse — election liaison to the State Auditor and former NC GOP director — told Columbus County’s board chair five early voting sites were “overkill,” three were “plenty.” That day she liked the message, and weeks later, her proposal matched his exactly.
This behavior is not isolated. In Pasquotank, Woodhouse ordered board members to “drop Sunday.” In Jackson County, he said, “don’t let them have a vote,” hours before a decision that went his way.
Taken together, this is a paper trail of partisan interference — a state official sabotaging election outcomes the law says belong to local boards alone. Though Woodhouse resigned in July, the damage he’s done still lingers.
20 counties now have contested plans before the North Carolina State Board of Elections. Public comment is open until Aug. 17 ahead of the Aug. 20 public hearing.
