Today, we honor the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have served our nation in uniform. As an Army veteran, I reflect on the camaraderie & the challenges we faced together. Every servicemember carries their own story, woven into the fabric of America.

Let’s remember the sacrifices made by our servicemembers and their families. To my fellow veterans, thank you for your service. Your courage inspires me every day. Let’s continue to support one another and advocate for those still serving.

It is summertime at the N.C. Court of Appeals and we are glad to host two interns this summer.

Allie A. Konieczny serves as a law student intern to Judge Murry. Ms. Konieczny earned a BA from the University of Mississippi and is a rising 2L at High Point University Kenneth F. Kahn School of Law. As a first year law student, Allie earned a position on law review and serves as treasurer for FirstGen, a group for first generation law students. Ms. Konieczny previously interned for Loretta Kendall Law P.C. and will serve as an intern for the District Attorney in Allegheny County , Pennsylvania for the second half of the summer.

J. Floyd Booker serves as a law student intern to Judge Murry. Mr. Booker earned a BS in Finance from North Carolina State University and is a rising 3L at the Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. Mr. Booker currently serves as the President of Campbell Law School’s The Federalist Society chapter and as Associate Editor of the Campbell Law Observer. After law school, Mr. Booker intends to pursue a career in complex business litigation as an appellate advocate.
