As we’re diving into swimming season keep this simple tip in mind!

Do you know the best swimsuit color for your child's safety? Many parents select swimsuits based on style, cuteness, or comfort. However, those factors become irrelevant once a child goes underwater! In order to spot your child quickly if there's an emergency, it's important to pick the right swimsuit colors for safety is more significant than most people realize.

🌊Water absorbs light unevenly, making only a few select colors stand out from under the surface.

☀️Neon yellow & neon green stand out, while blues, oranges, and pinks disappear completely underwater due to glare & color distortion in pools.

🤽Chlorine, ripples, and bright sunlight scatter light, making white and light pastels look like surface reflections.

Today, the Morrisville Fire Department pauses to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

On this Memorial Day, we remember those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we hold dear, and we keep their families and loved ones in our thoughts. Their courage, sacrifice, and legacy will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, may we take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor the heroes who gave everything for our nation. 🇺🇸

With nearly two decades of leadership in local government and direct oversight of Morrisville Fire-Rescue, Giselle has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public safety, strategic planning, and community service. Her hands-on approach — from participating in live burn exercises to training alongside Fire staff — reflects her dedication to understanding and supporting the important work of emergency services.

“I have seen how accreditation elevates performance, strengthens accountability, increases transparency, and ultimately enhances service to the community,” said Rodriguez-Villanueva. “It is truly an honor to serve as a Commissioner on the CFAI and to support its mission to advance excellence in fire and emergency service organizations.”

We’re inviting residents of all ages to design a custom patch that represents our community and the spirit of the Morrisville Fire Department.

🚒 The winning design will inspire the Fire Administration patch displayed on the Fire Chief’s vehicle and office!
