All of us at Jenna’s Promise want to extend our deepest gratitude to Jessica Bickford for the years she has devoted to Healthy Lamoille Valley and to our community.

Jessica has been a tireless champion of prevention, a thoughtful leader, and a force for change both big and small. Under her leadership, Healthy Lamoille Valley has grown into one of Jenna’s Promise’s closest and most valued community partners - and we are unquestionably better because of it.

But Jessica has also been one of those rare people who seems to understand that strong communities are built in a hundred different ways: through her work with the library, organizing gatherings like community game nights, showing up at countless events, building partnerships, and standing beside neighbors during the difficult days after the floods.

Jessica is truly a giant in this work, but perhaps even more importantly, she has been a builder of community. She leaves Lamoille County stronger, more connected, and more caring than she found it.

That is an extraordinary legacy.

We will miss her deeply, even as we are excited to see what comes next. Barre is gaining someone very special, and we have little doubt that Jessica will lift up that community just as she has lifted ours.

Thank you, Jessica - for your leadership, your partnership, your friendship, and for believing so deeply in what a community can become.
