Guess what..... its that time of year and we are so excited to see everyone again. Come on in and visit us.

On Sunday, Morrisville Fire Dpet. Responded to a report of a chimney fire. Appon arrival, the crew of ladder 1 (1st due) found a chimney fire with extension throughout the residents. Being a house built in the 1800’s, the balloon frame construction contributed to the rapid extension of the fire throughout the first and second floor. Second due (tanker 2) laid in from ladder 1 to establish water supply from a hydrant down the street. Initial crews were met with hight heat and 0 visibility smoke, but continued to push through conditions to find the fire. Crews begin opening walls and ceilings but were met with tough conditions of old construction of lath and plaster with drywall laid overtop. Despite the tough conditions, the Morrisville Fire Dept conducted extensive operations, with the help of Stowe Public Safety Agencies Hyde Park Town Fire Department Hardwick Fire DepartmentWolcott Vermont Volunteer Fire Department@elmorevolfiredept, . To open up, expose hot spots, and extinguish the fire.

We’d also like to thank the women’s auxiliary for bringing food and drinks to the scene to support the firemen.
