We invite you to join Chairwoman Dr. Alieka Anderson-Henry and Fire Chief Tim Sweat as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

The observance will begin at 8:46 a.m. at Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services Headquarters, located at 6345 Garden Walk Blvd., Riverdale, GA 30274—the exact time American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

As part of this solemn remembrance, CCFES will unveil a 25th Anniversary Commemorative Plaque honoring those who lost their lives, the heroes who selflessly answered the call, and our enduring promise to never forget.

Join us as we remember September 11, 2001, and honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit that continues to inspire our nation.

Clayton County OREM recently hung out at Spivey Splash Water Park on Senior Splash Day. Clayton County Parks & Rec and the Water Authority were also there, partnering with Senior Services to ensure everyone stayed well hydrated while having a great time! Every year, hundreds of seniors spend the day at the splash park for the free event (for Clayton Seniors) dedicated just to them.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting that the Heat Index will range between 101 and 107 degrees over the next few days. Stay cool, stay well hydrated, and be mindful of those most vulnerable to the extreme heat (older adults, children, and pets).
