Morton ISD is proud to welcome Mrs. Michelle Bright as our new Elementary School Principal! We are also excited to welcome her husband to the Morton ISD team, where he will be serving as our new PE teacher. We are thrilled to have the Bright family joining our district!
Mrs. Bright brings a strong background in elementary education, instructional leadership, special education, campus culture, curriculum, and student success. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Educational Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University, with specializations in Reading and Mathematics, and later completed her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lubbock Christian University.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Bright has served students, families, and staff in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, special education lead teacher, assistant principal, and elementary principal. Her experience spans curriculum development, campus safety, special education services, UIL, school culture, community engagement, teacher support, and campus leadership.
Mrs. Bright is known for her heart for students, her commitment to strong instruction, and her dedication to building positive relationships with staff, families, and the community. We are excited for the leadership, experience, and passion she will bring to Morton Elementary.
