We are excited to invite you to our annual 8th Grade Move-Up and Junior High Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 10th at 9:45 a.m. in the gymnasium. πŸŽ“

This special event honors our 8th-grade students as they transition from junior high to high school and celebrates the achievements of all our junior high students. If you plan to take your student home after the event, please remember to sign them out through the high school office before leaving campus. Additionally, any siblings from other grades who will be attending must also be checked out through the office.

We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful celebration as we recognize the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of our junior high studentsβ€”especially our 8th graders as they begin an exciting new chapter in high school. πŸ’š

πŸŽ“ A special tradition filled our halls this week as our Senior Class walked through the Elementary School, greeted with smiles, waves, and cheers from our youngest learners!

Seniors had the opportunity to connect with elementary students, sharing conversations, encouragement, and memories as they reflected on their journey through the district.

It was a meaningful moment that highlighted the strong sense of community across all grade levels.

We are so proud of our seniors and wish them the very best as they continue on to their next chapter! πŸ’šπŸŽ“

πŸ“šπŸ’ Thoughtful Discussions and Bright Futures!

The 8th Grade ELA class recently conducted a Socratic Seminar after reading the play Our Town. Students engaged in meaningful conversations, sharing thoughtful and insightful perspectives on the play's major themes.

Throughout the discussion, they respectfully and maturely explored topics such as love, relationships, death, and the importance of appreciating the beauty found in everyday life. Their ability to listen, reflect, and build on one another's ideas demonstrated both academic growth and personal maturity.

It was an excellent final seminar of the school year and a wonderful showcase of the critical thinking skills these students have developed.

We are incredibly proud of this group and can't wait to see all they accomplish as they begin their high school journey. The future is bright! 🌟
