Saturday August 22nd, we held our annual Charity Golf Invitational. We are glad to say that this was our biggest year yet, raising over……..$12,000!!!! The fire service has always been about showing up for one another. Not only at the station, but for our families too. Now we have the opportunity to show up for one of our own.

Rosey, the 2 year old daughter of Firefighter Nick Miyler, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. A malignant tumor that has affected her every day comfort, daily function, and sadly her ability to walk. She has started treatment to start shrinking down that tumor so it hopefully goes away and stays away. Rosey is a sweet, feisty little girl with a whole lot of fight in her, and right now she and her family are facing something no family should have to face alone.

This last Saturday, we held our annual Morton Fire & EMS Local 4952 Charity Golf Invitational! We are proud to say this was our best year yet! Stay tuned later this week as we will announce our grand total and share some pictures! Today, we wanted to congratulate and announce the raffle winners! Wyatt Lane, Mike Gibbs, Jon Williams, Ava Klein, and Mike Stout. Congrats! Stay tuned!

Today, Probationary Firefighter Ryan Darko was sworn in as a new member of Morton Fire Department. Ryan will head to fire academy in the next week where he will obtain all the training and skills needed to become a professional certified firefighter, followed by obtaining his EMT license. After that, Ryan will be enrolled in a paramedic class to further his level of prehospital emergency care. Please congratulate Ryan and welcome him to Morton!
