Student Transportation Reminders: 2026-2027
Welcome back to another great year at North Pocono!
The transportation department and our contractors thank you for your continued patience and assistance. Collaboration is essential to ensuring all students travel safely and timely. Please review the following guidelines for school transportation.
Check your Infinite Campus Portal account to view the most up-to-date bus assignments. While your physical location may not have changed, bus runs often shift annually based on ridership.
Review the posted bus routes on our website for any recent changes. Pay close attention to items listed in bright blue.
Arrive at the stop and be ready to board the bus 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. During the first week, times may vary based on student ridership.
Elementary students, K through 5, must have a designated adult at their stop for PM drop-offs. Students in Grade 5 can be let off without an adult if written permission is on file in the main office of your school.
If an adult is not present at a bus stop, students will be returned to their school and parents will be contacted to pick up their student. Parents are asked to be at the stop and outside their home or vehicle 10 minutes prior to the drop-off time. This is extremely important during the first week as bus times may vary depending on student ridership.
Avoid attempting to follow, chase, or block a school bus. All boarding and exiting must occur at established stops only.
Obey all flashing bus lights and stop signs. Failure to follow Pennsylvania school bus laws can result in significant penalties.
If your child requires a bus pass for child care reasons, please contact the main office of your child’s school as soon as possible to finalize those arrangements. Bus passes are not guaranteed and are dependent upon available seating on any given bus.
Consider opting into our electronic all-call system. We use this system to send out calls and text messages concerning transportation as needed. This is a tremendous tool that can provide you with the latest information regarding school transportation.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your school’s main office or the transportation office. 570-842-7659 www.npsd.org
Again, we thank you for your continued support, patience and partnership in the North Pocono community!
